As Justin mentioned, it would be better to allow the editor to set their own shortcut instead of hard coding it into the script and not allowing changes. Maybe someone has used U / D for some other script shortcut.
Hence, why hard code it?
Hence, why not allow the option instead?
Looking at the code, it appears they were intentionally removed a few versions back when the alphanumeric support was added. I personally use those much more often than than I use alphanumeric, so I too would like to see them back. Hopefully now that there is the switch between numeric-only and alphanumeric, this feature could make its way back in.
I’m actually surprised that anyone was still using the accelerators as they were completely nonfunctional due to staff changing WME when I started the 1.12 version. Thanks for letting me know that people were still interested in having them. I’ve restored them in the 1.14 version.
There’s still an issue with the script today, after the update: after entering some numbers and pressing save, the fields to enter a new starting number/increment disappears. You have to exit HN mode, and reenter, to get it back.
Same for me. Also have another issue. As an example, I added HN 198. The next one I wanted was 202, so I hit the ‘4’. It populated as 199, and set the next number as 203.
I’m pretty sure that’s how it is supposed to work. You have to look ahead to the next house, determine the increment, and then hit ‘4’ when you are at HN 198. It’s not at all intuitive.
Since I started using this script a few days ago, I have that sometimes shortcut H does not work to enter house number mode. It’s not consistent, so can’t pinpoint to a reason why it is, but it is definitely since I started this script. Does anyone else see this behaviour?
After a page refresh it works again, Waze refresh does not help.
I can’t say that I have seen this happen. Usually when the H does not work for me, I notice that somehow my cursor ended up in the search box and the H is being entered there. Once I get the cursor out of the search box, it works for me.
Been having issues the last few days using the script. I start on one street and add numbers. Works fine. Then I select another street, set my starting address and set up count. When I click on map to add house number, it adds the red balloon with no number in it. I add the house number manually. Try again and same red balloon with no number. If I refresh the editor on top bar, then it works again till I close that street editing and move to another street.
