Hi
Why is it that ways will give me a verbal warning of an approaching level crossing but not of a speed camera?
It seems odd to me that with just the map display and all alerts turned on all I get on the android auto display is a small and very poor visual cue to alert me to a speed camera, but when I approach a level crossing I get a verbal warning.
Waze has always given verbal warnings only if you are travelling at or over the speed limit of the road.
As Level Crossing (and Red Light Cams for that matter) are not related to the speed you are going, they will always verbally announce, unless you have that alert switch off in your app settings.
Hi,
I’ve just approached a red light camera and didn’t get a verbal warning for that either.

Yes, unfortunately, there is a known bug where in some sessions, Speed and Red light cameras are not being announced. This has been an ongoing bug for some time, and the community are pushing Waze for a resolution. Until that time, it may continue to be a problem.
