Still need this unlocked in Elizabethtown

I need Mulberry street both lanes in both directions before and after multiple intersections unlocked to fix this.

You have yet to explain why you want the unlock. I’ve adjusted the geometry and fixed the reverse connectivity, but when you want an unlock you have to explain why you want it unlocked.

There was a local user reported problem that still needs to be fixed. I see you took the liberty to take credit for fixing it (hence why I hate having to request and unlock. It invites poaching by higher level mappers) however, the problem still remains.

I need the intersection of Mulberry and Dolphin Dr unlocked. I am the local who knows this intersection. I need to fix it.

I closed it because you didn’t give an explanation of why you wanted the unlock. With no explanation I looked at the UR and then at the roads and not seeing an obvious cause I closed it with a Not identified. I made some adjustments, but not seeing an obvious cause, I didn’t mark it as solved (We get no points for an unsolved UR).

Give me and other CM’s a good description of why you want roads unlocked and we’ll unlock and leave the fixes and UR’s for you. We trust that most locks on larger roads like the one in question, were placed there for a reason. Without a good explanation we aren’t likely to make an unlock. If an obvious fix is made I’ll leave the UR for the requestor, but if it’s not definitively solved I’ll close it.

You can’t identify it because you are in Utah. You closed it with “Not Identified” because you aren’t here to identify it. This is why Waze uses local people to fix local problems. Let it work.

Coming south on Dolphin Dr, you cannot go straight across Mulberry. It is right turn only. It’s a simple fix on a simple road.

May I fix it?

Absolutely, you are right that is an easy fix, it doesn’t explain why in the UR Waze took the driver off Ring Rd over onto Dolphin and then onto Mulberry, but your fix will take care of that. Do you now see how rather than whining about people stealing your edits, give a good initial description of why an unlock is needed and it will be made.

It’s fixed. The driver was probably directed off Ring Road to avoid traffic.

Do not accuse me of whining. I am not a child. I have had a certain higher level editor burn me multiple times. He has my own residential street in front of my own house on lock down right now. If I seem a bit put-out and suspicious, it’s for good reasons.

PM me a permalink and I’ll look at it and probably unlock it for you.

It looks like the U-Turn from Westbound to Eastbound on N Mulberry St could be allowed (based on turn restrictions only). Is that actually allowed (based on the aerial, I think not, but I’m not sure)?

There are several reasons to keep locks in place:

  1. High-value roads
  2. Complicated Intersections
  3. To prevent repeated vandalism

There is no turn restriction because it is perfectly legal to turn left from westbound and drive across into the parking lot for the boat dealership.

I understand the locks on high value roads. I’ve seen some of the work that lots of newbies tend to do and have spent some time fixing their mistakes. Accurate map editing can be a very tedious process that few have the patience to do well.

Ok…
