Looking for advice on how to map a particular scenario that I’ve encountered a couple of times…
Essentially, there’s a cluster of houses - often, in this part of the world, a terraced row of miners’ cottages, or something similar - which are situated along a named street but which have their own distinct postal address. See attached low-tech graphical example!
What’s the best procedure to follow in order to map this sort of thing correctly, where a regular ‘street’ name includes properties with a different ‘street’ name without a distinct separately-mappable road to which to attach them?

Simple answer: lay down a segment of Walking trail (I’m not sure if it matters which type, but avoid Staircase!) parallel to the main road but not connected. You can then apply the name (Rose Cottages in the example above) to the segment and even, I believe, house numbers.
Waze will determine the correct point on that segment, then route the user to the closest point on a driveable segment - High St in this example.
Seems very logical - thanks. As it happens, I did something not too dissimilar to that on one such instance of this situation a couple of weeks back - but I made the disconnected segments private roads rather than walking trails, and I did wonder how it would affect navigation (haven’t been back there since to try it!). Making them walking trails to avoid navigation in vehicles makes a bunch of sense.
There is a difference between Pedestrian Area’s (Pedestrian Broadwalk) and Footpaths (Walking Trails).

In this respect you will need to use a Pedestrian Area.
