Tedious Ghost Closure/Permanent Routing Restriction

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping a local map editor can take a look at a segment on Cribb Station Road (near the Jeannette / New Stanton area).

Waze currently treats a portion of this road as completely non-routable. It always forces a detour onto a slower route, even though it doesn’t display a red “closed” icon on the user map. The moment I physically drive through the segment, the routing engine updates and realizes it’s open, but it defaults back to avoiding it on the next trip.

This road had an official construction closure over a year ago. It looks like a ghost closure or a permanent routing restriction from that project is stuck in the database. Could an editor please check the segments on Cribb Station Road and clear out any old temporary or automated closure flags?

Hi,

Another editor added a road closure there back in October 2024. The duration of the closure was unknown at that time, so they added a restriction. This restriction would remain in place after the closure expired, since closures must have a start and end date.

I have removed the restriction. This change will show in the app in a few days and routes should start using that part of the road.
