Drayton Lane is being realigned 100m south-east of it’s current position to a new roundabout. When you zoom in you’ll see a widening of the hedge on the west side of the Holt Road (B1149). This is where the roundabout is being constructed. I’ve tried adding it, but failed each time (there is a corresponding roundabout just north of the Reepham Road junction, with the road being moved slightly from it’s current route).

From 28th March there will be temporary traffic lights on the Holt Road while the roundabout is surfaced and the road tied in. From 10-13 April the road will be closed completely at this point with the diversion along Church St and Aylsham Road (permalink to diversion).

From 17th April to 5th May the Reepham Road (permalink) will be closed for the surfacing and tie-in of the other roundabout on Drayton Lane.

The newly aligned Drayton Lane is expected to open 22nd May.

For the time being, I’ve added some additional nodes to the affected roads, which will make it easier for us/baldibis to add closures while at the same time being able to make the changes/add the roundabouts

If I understand correctly what you put above:-

  1. The roundabout on Holt Rd is live now (28th), but not joined to Drayton Ln yet?
  2. Drayton is being joined to the roundabout between 10-13th April, during which time Holt Rd (between Church St and Holly Ln) is closed ?
  3. This crossroads will be closed 17th Apr - 5th May for another roundabout construction.

  • The Holt Road one is being built, as is the Reepham Road/Drayton Lane one. Neither is surfaced at the moment. The traffic lights on the Holt Road are to allow for the roundabout to be surfaced and the traffic to be single-file on the lane furthest from the new roundabout.
  • Once done, around 10-13th April, they’ll close the Holt Road completely between Church St and Holly Lane, while they complete the surfacing between the new roundabout and the old road. This only affects the Horsford end.
  • 17th April to 5th May they’re doing similar work on Reepham Road, but closing the road completely and diverting traffic through Drayton and back up Hall Lane. This is because they’ll also be changing the height of Drayton Lane as it comes from Drayton into the new roundabout.
  • Mid-May they’re expecting to open the newly aligned Drayton Lane completely. At this point I expect them to rapidly close Holly Lane and Holt Road between Holly Lane and (the new) Drayton Lane. This latter closure will be permanent, except for access to the two houses.
