When you’re trying to record a road closure on Waze, possibly prompted by an Map Report originating from Elgin, it’s often difficult to discover the times. Is the closure 24x7, or just during the day? And does the “day” start before or after the morning rush? Sometimes the entry on roadworks.org will help, more often it won’t.
I’ve discovered, and documented on Wazeopedia, a list of (almost) all road traffic orders for the county of Surrey. These often contain detail missing from the roadworks.org summary, sometimes including those useful closure times.
If you can discover similar web pages for other areas, please update Wazeopedia (or post here asking someone else to do it).

Having been looking at this for a day or two I’ve come to the conclusion that the specific region section of resources page may get rather messy and large. So I propose that this might need it’s own page which can be better sorted, by WME county for example, and become a comprehensive go to place. That being said I am struggling to find a ‘nice’ way to display the info or make it easy to maintain.
You clever lot should be able to suggest something…

Maybe do away with the county group section headers (the “B”, “H” etc.) so that the table of contents doesn’t end up occupying more page height than the actual page content, but still retain the individual tables for each alphabetically-grouped collection of counties and just let the content text itself indicate which table is for counties “B”, “H” etc?
London may also need handling differently to other counties given the number of data sources available which cover either the whole area or just relate to a single borough - having them all squeezed into the single “Greater London” table cell could cause the “G” table to look rather imbalanced…
On a similar note, where you’ve currently got invididual entries dotted around the page for the different named areas within a greater metropolitan area, it might be preferable to pull those out of the generic county tables and group them into seperate metro area tables - e.g. one table for Greater Manchester, another for Tyneside etc.
Taking a step further back, it may then also be an idea to subdivide the country sections by region - e.g. “north east”, “south west” etc - just as the BBC News site does for the regional UK news pages (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/england/regions).
OTOH, it may also still be advantageous to provide an alpha-sorted list of counties…
Perhaps then, instead of trying to get everything onto a single page, provide an entry page which gives an overview of what this section of the wiki contains, and then provides two links - one to the region-arranged list and one to the alpha-sorted list. Each list is then on its own page, and each sub-grouping in the list is also then on its own page, until finally you link to the page for the specific county/area where the actual resource links are located.
This way it’d be easier to maintain the resource links for those individual areas without it impacting on the look/feel of the navigation structure used to reach the area pages, and it’d also then make it relatively trivial to provide different methods of listing all of the available area pages without needing to duplicate the resource links (or any other county/area specific information provided on the page itself) themselves - it’d just be the link to the relevant county/area page which was duplicated.
It may be best to provide two separate ways into to the same set of data. In other words, one list by region (or country). And another by types, e.g. information about roadworks, maps from which house numbers can be extracted.
Which may be what Chris has just suggested above, I’m not sure. :?

I don’t believe the wiki is the correct place for a comprehensive list of resources. It can not sort / filter / reorder, etc.
I will add the remaining links we currently have, including London, and work on an alternative, though this is likely to be an external database at this time :?
