Traffic flow changes in Lexington Center as of 8/16/2016

Lexington has commenced a 3-month trial of traffic flow changes in Lexington Center. It would be great to have the Waze map updated to capture the Harrington Rd conversion to a one-way (from Bedford St to Mass Ave). The closure allows for entry and exit from the driveway at the First Parish Church - but not for through traffic from Mass Ave to the East to Bedford St.

Thank you for reporting this we will have an editor review this and get back to you this week via the forum here

Thanks for all the details! We will put this in as a 3-month “real-time closure” which will give a visible sign on the waze app. It’s called a 3-month closure, can you confirm when the end date is so that we can set the Harrington Rd closure correctly? Thanks!

While you’re here - any chance you have access to the list of roads in Lexington which marked speed limits, so that we can set those appropriately in the map?

The end date is a bit fluid - it depends on how the trial proceeds. Further, if the one-way trial works well it may be extended into a complete closure of Harrington Rd (except for local access to the church).

The Board of Selectmen will be monitoring the trial and we will determine if we should end it early or extend it.

I’ll work on getting a full inventory of marked speed limits.

Thanks, please let us know if/when you get additional details. Until then it’s closed through the end of 11/15/2016 (opening midnight 11/16/2016).

If you’re able to get an inventory of marked speeds, you can PM me or any of the state managers, or email us at masswazers@gmail.com.
