Hi,
I dunno if you have this information–nor am I really sure where to post it
Newbury Street, Boston, will be pedestrians-only (entire length, Arlington St to Mass Ave on three Sundays from 10:00am to 6:00pm – July 23, August 13 and Sep 10, 2017
Here’s a reference to a notice on twitter today:

Thank you, those closures have already in place for a couple weeks!
This was the perfect place to post things like that. If you know of upcoming events with associated road closures feel free to post in the Massachusetts section of the forums (aka here). Posting a link for a source is always helpful for the editors who will have to figure out some of the finer elements when entering in the closures.
That’s why I led with the (somwhat weak) statement I did
My experience is that Waze is on top of it’s game!
Thanks.
Thanks, johnsninja58,
I know the twitter reference wasn’t ideal as I do have an appreciation for the information needed by you (all) to “figure out some of the finer elements”

I was completely serious about the thank you. We have several people who are constantly looking out for these closures, and this particular one has already been edited a few times. Nonetheless we do miss some closures as well, and sometimes enter them incorrectly. So it’s good to have users point them out to us to verify!
I’m aware that many users cannot check for which closures were set, just giving kudos to my colleagues for already getting them in!
As NinjaJohn says, feel free to post here, we’re happy to review and add as needed, or tell you that we’ve already done it!
Oh, I took it as sincere!!!
Reading my reply again I can see how it could be read/taken as scarcastic (towards you) – when in fact I was trying to say my comment (compliment) about you guys (and gals
being on top of things was sorta weak.
Who was that who said all nuance is lost in e-communication …
And another kudo to you for going “the extra mile” to post a followup message about a possible misunderstanding – it’s not a common thing these days.
Agreed too easy to misread things online. Waze is a community driven app. Without involvement by those who use it and provide feedback by map problems in the app or via the forum we couldn’t possible keep on top of everything. The volunteer map editors are fellow wazers who enjoy giving back and helping build a stronger experience for the drivers by ensuring the map is updated.
Egos are encouraged to be left at the cost check. We all have the same mission.
We look forward to hearing again from you and if you ever want to learn or do more here a quick read to get you started about waze map editing
