For past two months, the BT beacons in the tunnels no longer work…While using WAZE, map freezes soon as you enter tunnels, "GPS not working " comes up on screen, then resumes once out of the tunnels.
Thanks for your report. We have heard this reported by some editors and other on Reddit. However, this has not been the experience for all users. Many have reported normal beacon function. Because this is sporadic, we are trying to collect information on where and when trouble has been seen.
Which tube were you in? What direction of travel was your trip? What day of the week and time of day have you had issues?

Once again, ( Ted Williams Tunnel in/out of Logan including tunnel extension all the way to Rt93 North and South, The Sumner Tunnel and Tip O’Neill Tunnel ) for past 20 days the some 800 Beacons installed in 2017 Waze Beacon Program are no longer functioning in Boston. ALL days and hours of the week. Day night, doesn’t matter. Waze stops at entry of tunnel completely, no estimating location, no verbal data no data update on screen for exiting. Then once out, Waze comes back to life.

This is true and MassDOT are in the process of replacing all beacons! a third were already replaced!
It’s 1100 beacons, b.t.w, not 800
