Yesterday I upgraded to Waze 3.0.
Yesterday Waze was working fine on my phone.
Since this morning, when I opened Waze, I had a wheel with “Initializing. Please wait”.
After a couple of seconds the message “Uh-oh! Failed to initialize. No Nework connection” appears.
When I click on the only button (“OK”) Waze close.
I’m confusing because my 3G connection is working.
Do everybody else have the same problem ?
How to solve it ?
I had this problem today for awhile. I was also getting an error saying Waze couldn’t contact the routing server, which lasted for about an hour. All of a sudden, everything started working again. I think they must have been having a server issue, or possibly maintenance on the server was being pulled.
There are several threads this past week regarding routing server issues in several parts of the world. If you are having routing server issues, please take a look at those other posts and find the link to report these issues to Waze via their Google Docs form.
It could be that there has been an influx of new Wazers in some regions and that the routing servers are becoming more busy. Waze can adjust and provision more capacity from AWS as needed.
Be sure to report this to Waze via the form so that they know it is a problem.
