Unable to Delete Account

I have been trying to delete my account for hours. Through both the app and the website, I am able to go through the steps, but it always has me log in again right at the end. Despite knowing my information is correct, having just logged in, I still get the notification that my username or password is incorrect. There is no option to reset my password, even if I wasn’t 100% confident in the log in information I’m using. At this point, it seems there is a bug in the final step of the deletion process which is keeping people from deleting their accounts.

I’ve been scouring the website and forums, and there is no number to call, and everyone that has tried to reach out to support@waze.com has received automated responses to view the support page. The support page, of course, has no information on this bug, or anything that would help.

Has anyone been able to successfully delete an account?

Welcome to the Waze community.
Try deleting the account with waze.com/account , there should be an option to delete the account.

Don’t try to log in immediately after but wait at least 24 hours so that all systems synchronize.

P.S. I’m just a volunteer and I’ve never deleted a Waze account, I hope it helped you
