Reason: I am a Civil Engineer from the Chicago suburbs but my family also has a cottage in Keeler Michigan which we visit regularly so I know the area well. They are currently redoing a road which is close to our place and I wanted to put a road closure into Waze so that it would automatically plot the best route for me and anyone else using Waze in the area. They are country roads so sometimes you have to go a few miles out of your way, and I just thought it would be a useful addition to the map for now. This is my first time trying to edit something in Waze so I’m not totally sure how the process works.

Hi. Thanks for the request. Only higher rank editors can create a closure. If you can pinpoint the exact location, we can set it.
What are they doing and for how long will it be closed?

I’m not sure how long it will be closed but I’m going to guess it will be at least another month, possibly more. The closure is on Territorial road in Keeler MI, bounded on the west side by County Road 687 and on the east side by 60th Street. They are completely replacing the road, (it needed to be done badly,) They stripped away all the asphalt and last I saw it they were doing the mass grading, laying gravel down and sloping it correctly to prepare for fresh asphalt.

Wonderful, I will definitely check those documents out! And funny enough I just got a text from my parents who are at our cottage that they just started paving the road today so it will probably be done in the next couple days. Sorry It was such a short turnaround but thank you for the quick assistance in getting that closure up!
