Hi, a while ago I raised this issue:

Update Request: Toronto - Riverdale Ave

Hi - Riverdale avenue is closed to westbound traffic (it’s reduced to one lane eastbound) from approximately 80m east of Carlaw through to Pape in Toronto. It’s been that way for at least two weeks, possibly quite a lot longer. For a while, Waze thought it was closed completely (would not route you on that road east or westbound). A week or two ago, it started thinking it was completely open and now tries to route you on it both ways. For whatever reason, the city is not indicating this closure on it’s website either. I’ve called them to see if they’ll fix that, fwiw.

…result was that Riverdale Ave was marked one way eastbound from Carlaw to Pape until end of Oct, per guidance from Metrolinx.

October has ended and the road is still one way eastbound. I’ve reached out to Metrolinxs to get an update, which I will share when I receive it (last time it took a week or two) - but in the meantime, can the restriction be re-instated until end of Nov or something?

Ok, per Metrolinx Riverdale will remain closed to westbound traffic (making it one-way eastbound) until April 2026. So…slightly longer than the Oct 2025 date they originally provided.

We have it closed until Oct 2026 so that’s covered. Please let us know if things change before then.
