These street sections have been under construction for months, and since they are still ground down to the street bed, they’re going to be under construction for several more months, at least.

Also, just because I can’t seem to find a good answer anywhere else…how do I get to be a “Level 3” wazer and do these edits myself if (1) I can’t edit the maps, and (2) the points system is so broken I’ve actually lost points compared to where I was a couple months ago?
Thanks
For your second questions your editing level is based upon edits and being involved with the editing community. See this page for a description on Map editing levels. The points system can be borked at times but your points will always be accounted for. Try checking your dashboard to see if your points are there. Let me know if you have any other questions. I will try and find these segments with the provided IDs you sent, but it is like finding a needle in a haystack. Thanks!
Hi Joe,
The segments I mentioned have been under construction for several months and are still months away from being reopened, but Waze continually tries to route me down that street when I’m going to, for example, the hospital.
I’ve tried marking the sections as being under construction, but any reports I make on the app don’t last every long, and I’m not allowed to edit the map because I’m still level 1.
Those segments need to be marked as “closed” on the closure layer.
Lincoln Street between Main and Hendricks is completely closed, and between Hendricks and Walnut is, according to the signs, only open to local traffic.
Thanks for the suggestion about checking my dashboard online. My points on the app had actually gone down from 495 to 410…but once I checked the dashboard, the app updated and is showing a much more believable number now (almost 24500).
Sure thing! Sometimes the app scoreboard lags behind or doesnt update for a while, but the dashboard page will usually update more accurately and if it is behind, it will tell you how many days it is behind.
I can close the road for you. Any idea how long it will be closed for? Thanks!
That street is still torn down to the road bed, so it’s going to be months before it’s open again.
A bit of history on it…they resurfaced that street less than two years ago, and almost immediately it started cracking and buckling, so they had to go all the way down to bedrock this time and it’s been closed since Summer and probably won’t open for at least six months.
Should I comment again here when it does open, or start a new thread asking for those streets to be taken off the closure list?
Joe,
For some reason, the closure on these segments has been removed on the maps and Waze is trying to route me down Lincoln Street again. These streets are still closed. They are still torn down to the road bed. There is no way to drive on them.
I can take a picture of it next time I’m in Greensburg if you need confirmation.
Could you mark them as closed again, please?
Thanks!
Without a scheduled opening time, Joe had set the closures to expire on 2/28/2019. I have added the closures back to the segments that Joe had closed.
My closures are set to expire on 3/31/2019 at 23:59. If you let us know prior to that date that they need to be extended, someone can add more time to it.
