The Park Avenue underpass in Plainfield, NJ is closed due to bridge replacement by NJ Transit. There is no information on the duration of the closure.

I’m looking into your request. It does look like another editor (elxavo) had implemented a time-based restriction to the segment in question here. Did you request help from this editor?
We can certainly work to get this entered and I would prefer to use the Closure feature provided in Waze as it serves as a visual within the app.
Also, I see you’re new to NJ and wanted to welcome you to the Garden State. If you’re interested in map editing, I have a few resources to help you out. Let me know and I’d love to help get you started.

The time based closure by elxavo looks like it expired on April 15, 2015. The street is still closed due to delayed work on the NJ Transit line bridge. I will try to contact elxavo.

Great - I would recommend reading the Waze Map Editor (WME) Welcome page, before you start editing.
You can then find state specific guidance located on our New Jersey wiki page. Also, we use Google Hangouts to communicate with other volunteer editors. If you have a gmail address, I can add you to our hangout so you can ask advice, request help or request unlocks. Feel free to send me a private message here.
In terms of the closure, Waze uses the international date format, so the restriction is set to expire on December 4, 2015 (written as 04-12-2015). Let me know once you’ve contacted elxavo and we can set the closure up properly.
