Urgent: Request for traffic mitigation on Derech HaGvura St., Tel Aviv – Routing adjustments required

Our Requested Solution: We urgently request that during the peak hours of 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM, traffic routing be adjusted to restrict the left turn from Derech HaShalom into Derech HaGvura Street. Vehicles should be directed to continue straight along the main thoroughfare of Derech HaShalom.

As the authorized representative of the neighborhood residents, I urge you to take immediate action to restore safety, accessibility, and quality of life to our street.

We look forward to your prompt response and to resolving this matter swiftly.

Sincerely,

BATCHEN DICHTER LAW

Authorized Representative of Derech HaGvura St. Residents

Hi @israel_grx21w6u,

Thanks for reaching out via the forum.

Waze, like other navigation applications, simply provides legal routes options based on local signage and traffic laws, from which drivers select the route they prefer to drive on.

Only the local municipality or local department of transportation have the authority, responsibility and ability to set legal driving and travel restrictions (such as restricting turns by time, changing roads to one-way, etc) to open public roads which are available for travel to all car drivers.

As such, if and when the relevant authorities decide to add or implement legal traffic related restrictions and changes in the area and we are made aware of them, will the navigational maps of Waze, and potentially other navigation applications, be able to reflect such changes.

Best,
