Username differences

Hello,

I have been using Waze for over a year now :slight_smile: And only now I guess I created my account. I am not sure what is going on with my waze. I used to have a username X and it is showing up as X when I go to Settings > Account & Login (Android phone). But when I tried to create a new Waze account today it said my Username (X) is already taken, and I had to choose a different one (Y).

So when I am in the Account & Login screen I see my original username X, and the two buttons “Username & Password” and “Connected to Facebook”. When I press on the “Username & Password” my other (new one) username Y is shown up in the Username field and ******** in my Password field.

I am confused about my username now. What is what and what is going on?

  1. Why were you trying to create a new account?
  2. Of course you can’t create a new account with the same name as the old one, which is why it said “Username X is already taken”
  3. I’ve never seen it shown different account info in the Settings like that. That is wrong.

I would delete the app from your device, delete the Waze folder from the SD card, reinstall it, and log in with your desired account when the app starts up fresh and asks for your credentials.

I attached two screenshots… There is always a first.

The reason I had to create a new account was because it said I had no account associated with the SubAtomic username - which is wrong, because SubAtmoic was associated with the same email I created HyperAtomic with. And I want the SubAtomic username, but there is not way for me to reset the password as I do not remember the password I used and the email associated with SubAtomic claims to be not mine (or unknown to me at least).

Please advice?

I’m having the same type of issue. I was using Waze, but then needed to reset my phone and now cant get access to my original username. How do I get access to my original user name?
