Hi Editors,

I would like to be able to edit the following segment(s).
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Reason:
I currently work at an civil engineering firm and work on subdivisions in all of Warrnambool.
I know upcoming sudivisons and would be able to add the roads in as I know all the street names etc.
Ive also tried adding the new subdivisions in along Hopkins Point Road, Warrnambool also but am unable.

Unlock to level:
I am currently rank 1 I believe. Not sure what rank I need to make these type of edits

It would be super helpful if you could add new sub divisions for us, or send us information about them for us to add if you prefer. Either way, this type of hyper-local intel is fantastic to help keep the map up to date in your area.

There are a couple of permission systems to contend with in Waze:

  1. You need an “area” which is determined by where you’ve driven with the Waze app open, plus 1 mile either side. Simple drive around with the app open and running and your area is usually processed within 24 hours and you can start editing.

  2. Some road segments are locked to higher editor levels because damaging them could disrupt traffic and be a massive pain to isolate. However, we are always happy to temporarily drop them down to your level to allow you to add them if you ask us. There’s lots of different ways you can ask, either by posting on the forums like you did here or linking in with some scripts that post to our Discord server. As you continue to edit, your editor rank will increase as well.

As you can see, there are options, and we’re happy to help you either way. I’ve included some generic resources below about how you can join our editing community and become a more senior editor:
