What’s a local meetup like?
- All editing levels are welcome, especially our newer level 1 editors!
- Not local to the event? That’s okay, Waze will help get you there. See the registration form for details.
- You arrive on Friday and stay at a nice hotel paid for by Waze. Even if you’re a local, you’re welcome to stay here. After breakfast on Saturday, we meet in the hotel conference centre for a jam-packed day of presentations, discussions and workshops, with tea, coffee and a light lunch in between.
- The official event concludes at 3pm, but then the unofficial after-party begins; often a few drinks and excellent banter at a local watering hole!
- Everyone is friendly, welcoming and supportive. During registration, if it is your first time attending a meetup, you can choose to be buddied with a senior editor who will check in on you during the event.
- The Waze Australia and New Zealand leadership team, including some of our coordinators and state and country managers, will be around to answer questions and discuss all things mapping. And for those tough questions, you can ask the Waze and Google staff in attendance!
