“On a trip yesterday from Mount Pleasant, SC to Kingstree, SC, I was routed through Santee Road. This also occurred during numerous past trips. I recommend Waze include a warning about this road and provide an alternate route. Santee Road is the worst road I’ve ever traveled on in the USA. The entire length of the road is plagued with all sizes of potholes, uneven spots, and two large areas of missing pavement with sand that may cause a vehicle to bottom out at high speeds. It is a very rough drive, puts severe wear on vehicles, and isn’t the best route to and from Kingstree Animal Hospital since it may put stress on a pet who has undergone surgery. The drive on this road is VERY rough, and the best way to navigate it and try to lessen the damage to a vehicle is by driving in the opposite lane, middle lane, and correct lane; it is like an obstacle course. I could not find a way to report this in Waze, and I hope a map warning, including audio warning (extremely rough road for duration or be prepared for 20-30 minutes of extreme driving conditions) can be posted. I’ve driven in road rallies; you must believe it’s very rough if I’m reporting this. Love the app! I’ve been a member longer than my account shows; when I changed phones, the app reset my membership date. Thank you.”
