Actually the text comes out in English, I haven’t seen any Chinese characters yet. Unless of course no one’s written in Chinese yet

Telegram should be safe and fine for users in China.
Telegram is blocked in China. Using WeChat can help better communication.
Why not Telegram? Since I have to edit Waze map via any VPN/SSL. Then using vpn to access Wase is necessary also for us to communicate via Telegram.
Good point. But it may be better to use Google Hangout or other more common social app such as Slack, Whatsapp, discord, etc. You will see there are many editors who are outside China are helping the map.
