Thank you in advance,

Hi @JMNorthland ,
What needs to be altered there?
Let me know.

Hey Adrian,

Keen to develop my skills and levels in Waze now that we are in the city partner system. For Whangārei I wanted to improve the footpaths in the town Basin. And then only minor changes I have seen which are left turn slip lanes at Kamo road and SH1 intersection. And potentially a minor tweak to the alignment of SH1 just south of Whananaki N road as the road and GPS points aren’t aligned with the carriage way.

Let me know what you think.

Kingston

Hi Kingston,
We don’t normally add short slip lanes as they add no advantage to routing, and they can make adding closures between Waze & GMaps give errors.
Slip lanes & traffic islands normally need to be longer than 30m to be considered useful.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the additional information regarding slip lanes. I was still keen to develop my skill for example realign SH1 (South of Whananaki N Road). But I see you have processed it?

Hi Kingston, just gave it a few small tweeks.
Often the sat images from Google can be misaligned.
There are areas by Milford Sound where we are waiting for Google to repair them.
Normally we need to average out the errors using the GPS Tracks as well. Can be viewed by pressing “Shift+G” in WME,
Attached is an example, including wayward tracks we can’t use.
