Whats App Chat

Putting this out there for all who are interested in staying in touch by way of What’s App. It would be specific to discussions of Waze in Trinidad and Tobago. The forum could be used to discuss ways of editing and progressing the maps for Trinidad and Tobago. Our area on Waze is sparse and this could be a way of progressing the effort.

PM me if you are interested to exchange details.

Would it not be easier/better to have the discussions in this forum? That way anyone who joins the discussion later on can see what was discussed.

I would have posted this in the public forum however since the What’s App program requires an individual’s mobile number I would not want this available to every Tom, Dick and Harry. I would like to give it out to persons on a one by one basis to control my private information.

Do you agree?

Actually I meant the discussion on the “ways of editing and progressing the maps for Trinidad and Tobago” should be in a public forum so that anyone joining later on could see what was discussed before.

BTW this forum supports the Tapatalk app for forums. It is available on most platforms.

Is this chat still active ? I will like to help in improving waze for Trinidad & Tobago…

I would love to get deeper into the editing of Waze maps. I know there are people out there who must be a lot better at this than myself. It would be nice to actually sit down and see how it is done.

Taking a page out of Apple’s book. I enjoy going into their stores and sitting down to a workshop session and seeing how they do things with shortcuts, tips and tricks. Sitting down and sharing a common love for a program is a wonderful thing.

Unfortunately most of the people who do editing don’t visit here or take the time to read the “best practices”.

I think we should start discussing with other editors what is acceptable in terms of editing.
WAZE is first and foremost a navigation app and all editing should bear in mind the instructions that will be given based on you edit and the fact that it should be usable on a small device (not to much clutter). I think the starting point should be this https://world.waze.com/wiki/?title=United_Kingdom#Editing_Best_Practice modified to local needs, since our road system is based on the UK road system.

with regards to not too much clutter.
