Times have changed and more wazers are joining us! That increases the number of doubts and we want to help you to crush them
This thread will enable you to ask your knotty questions and we will solve the puzzling according to our limitations. A few things that you need to know:
Start a new topic, and when doing so, write a short description of your question in the title.
If the question requires us to provide confidential information: we wonât be able to answer. But hey, we could still guide you in the good path without revealing.
We donât know deadline or timeline dates for new features. So, we will pretty much fail to answer when such a question comes from you.
If we understand from your question that you didnât read a dedicated page of the wiki/support-page: we could address you to it. In such cases, donât hesitate to ask any specifics that get you confused.
Donât forget that we are volunteers, so be patient.
If you know the answer to the question, go ahead and help! This is a crowdsourced community.
As we gather enough Q&A, we will add a resume of them in this thread.
Suggestion for the FAQ you will be building from this:
Indicate the date or just month/year next to given answers. That way we can easily spot if the information/facts are recent or may be outdated. (Since we know Waze has a tendency to often change how things work)
Awesome and thanks for this thread. Joined Waze a few years ago when it was a new App and no one knew about it⌠now its crazy and almost a household name around me! Never knew a forum existed!
Anywho⌠Iâve always been a Waze user (small compared to you Veterans) but am looking to see what Wikiâs and threads will help me understand the basics of how I can start building up my âMap Editâ profile. I drive a lot but never in an area that needs me to pave new roads as they are already their an labeled. Wondering what else I can do to help the community via Map Editor and how I go about it. Iâve started sifting through threads on here but canât seem to find the basics, all the threads are of advanced questions about the App.
Also: Is making a Map Edit on Waze.com/livemap different than marking a âMap Issueâ on the Waze App while actually driving. Or do those Map Issues just pinpoint a specific location so when I log into Waze.com to make the Map Edit, it will show up the exact spot on my route of travel that needs fixing for the community? Thank you!
There is a new forum! I am splitting the questions/answers into single threads. Once that is done, you are free to create a new topic with your question
Going to live map and clicking on a location and reporting an error, is the same as doing âmap issueâ in the app. The only difference is that we wont have any GPS tracks to reference, since your not driving at that time.
