Hi, folks.
Just me again with another question, also just noticed this is my 1000th waze forum post lol!
Wazeo - https://wazeopedia.waze.com/wiki/UnitedKingdom/Places#:~:text=for%20correct%20navigation.-,Area%20Places,-Area%20Places%20should
I have constantly read the Wazeo pages. However, this one question has been in my mind for some time regarding the Places Mapping Best Pratice. This is for areas such as business parks/industrial sites/retail parks etc. This is so i am aware for any future additions/edits and what is the correct way of mapping, to increase my knowledge
I have included 2 examples of different mapping that looks different to me not entirely sure hence i am asking, which way is more recommended by the CMs/Champs etc. Although they may not be the best examples of my question, just what i could get whilst on my phone…

Thank you!
Here are my thoughts.
Example 1 - The area place includes car parks and grass area so it doesn’t represent what a passing motorist might see. Ideally it should just cover the outline of the main buildings, as in example 2.
Always consider what the app user will see. An area place will always be visible on the app with the place name showing. Ask yourself ‘will this provide useful info to a passing motorist or is it just clutter?’ Too many area places can make the map look messy.
