I have been a wazer for more than 2 years. I have made over 10,000 edits to the surrounding areas. Now all of a sudden it won’t allow me to edit. I am able to login to waze. When I click the edit button it sends me to a different login. When I put my info again, it says login failed. At first, I thought waze was doing an update, so I tried it the next day and go the same thing. I just tried it again a week or so later and the same message popped up.
Is anyone have the same problem? I don’t have many options
The Waze Map Editors are a self-managed volunteer community. This means we police ourselves and have established community standards and a leadership structure for editing.
You’ve been making most of your edits in the Northeast Region (NOR).
We, as a community, pride ourselves on quality edits over quantity of edits made.
Your edits were noticed by community members and no fewer than three people have sent you direct messages via the Waze Editing Forum with concerns. These individuals include myself, a state manager as well as an area manager and a local champ.
You have read these messages and elected not to reply. This inaction on your part lead to a region-wide discussion among NOR leaders which included our regional coordinator (Another Champ).
The RC elected to have your editing privileges suspended in an attempt to get your attention and open a dialogue with you in order to improve your editing and get you the resources you need to focus your energy on productive edits.
Please refer to your Forum Inbox and reply to any and all editors who have reached out to you.
I notice your email a few weeks ago. I click on a link that was provided. From there, it said I had to sign up for some time which I did. Then I started to receive spam from what I sign up. I quickly deleted what I did and figured a spam account sent me something.
The Waze Forum notifies you via email when you have a direct message.
The only links in that email are to your forum inbox - as you already have a Waze Forum account there’s nothing to “sign up” for in those links.
My direct message included a link to the NOR server on the Discord chat service, and a clear explanation of the purpose of said server.
Please review the messages in your Waze Forum inbox and reply to any and all editors who have reached out to you.
