World.waze.com still having problems - summary

DAILY MAPDATE FOR INTERNALATION WAZERS - AUG. 16TH
Hi wazers,
More things are slowly coming back together.
Livemap is now available again (on world.waze.com/livemap). As you will see, it is updated for July 27th as the last update time, but this will be fixed once the new tiles are ready.
We are still building new map tiles based on map edits (cartouche and papyrus edits) - it should be done within a couple of days.
We are starting to upload routes to your archives - you will notice new routes in your archive in the next 24 hours.
As a matter of fact, we’ve already uploaded ~20% of all routes, so some of you should see new routes waiting.
Please note: routes are not uploaded by date, so you won’t necessarily see your oldest routes first.
At a first step, you might not see the GPS points associated with these routes, and might have some editing permissions issues based on your routes.
By Thursday, we expect all routes to be loaded (all routes up until two days ago). When this happens, we will start calculating the points, to include and add all the changes you did on the map, the km you drove, the achievements you received, and so on.
We’ll send another update tomorrow - thank you for all your great support!

Forum, Dashboard and Cartouche just went down on the world server. Papyrus seems to run fine.

Yeah, I’m seeing this too. Edits I did over the weekend look completely messed up now. It’s as if my edits have been ‘undone’, yet I cannot fix them. Waze seems totally confused.

This state of affairs has happened before too. A mixture of committed edits from recent to not so recent, and Cartouche and Papyrus showing different state.

Jup in Cartouche i have a (3) in Papyrus i’m a (4). But the streets show the same pitiful picture in both, so i hope they come back in the next days.

In my case the area was nearly finished.

DAILY MAPDATE - SEP. 1ST - INTERNATIONAL AND US WAZERS
Hi guys,

Most news are for the International wazers, so let’s start with them:

Archived routes - there’s a very small delay (around 36 hours time frame instead of 24 hours). Basically routes are back to normal, and should appear on your archive within the 1-day time frame.
Map tiles (for map editing) are not synced - there’s an issue with areas in the map editor where segments either cannot be selected, are invisible, or changes you’ve done in the last 2 weeks have reverted and display the roads the way they were before. This issue is being handled, and should be resolved within the next 2 days.
Points - there’s a delay of roughly 5 days in the points calculation. We’ve started the process again, and hopefully you’ll start seeing the points flowing in the next couple of days.
Maps - the process is having some issues, which is why the maps have not been updated since the 22nd. This process will take roughly 2-3 more days, and we will update further as we proceed.
Wrong dates shown on dashboard - there are different dates shown on the rank (last updated) and the routes (last updated) on your dashboard. We’re working on fixing those as well, but at a lower priority.

For both US and INT’L wazers:

GPS points are still missing - we are working on a fix, which will be implemented as a first step in the US cartouche / Papyrus. We will keep you updated as soon as it’s updated.
The weekly top 3 users are not updated, and the weekly scoreboard (which shows your total points and not only the points from the last week).

For US wazers only:

We’ve closed the gap with the points, and all your points from the last couple of days should now be updated.
There are still a lot of routes (from the end of July, and from Aug. 2nd-4th) that were never uploaded. Those routes are not lost, and we will upload them as soon as we can.

Hello, Can I have some explain for problems in world.waze.com user dashboard ?
Often When I want to look to weekly statistic, i see points for all the time, not for actual week. The same problem is with statistic counting. This week i drove about 700 km (at Monday and Wednesday), made one new road and made some map edits, and all the week I have 0 points for week. At Friday I got about 700 points. I think that is little. Last actualization I see 23.9 at 2.00.
And second thing is with show drove route. When I click to show route, I’m directed to map editor, but route is not showed and missing window with routes to select which one of drove route to show.

Points do not show up every day due to processing time. Incorrect link for routes is a known issue they will fix. You can always bring up the Archive in the oldCartouche.

Mapdate October 31 2011

Hi all,

We’re slowly starting to get back to normal.

All the processes that were on hold due to the system overlod are running again in both US and INTL servers since yesterday.

It will still take some times to reduce the backlog.

Before I start with the mapdates, I’d like to inform you about some good news.

The merger process and the points process have been both re-written from scratch and will start running in about two weeks! These processes are MUCH FASTER than the existing ones and we believe that you’d feel a significant improvement.

At the same time we’re upgrading our instrafructures by adding more powerful servers which should also improve our capabilities to process big amounts of data.

Now here’s where we stand at the moment:

US & CANADA:

Points: Process is running. The points are updated currently until Oct 23. Points of Oct Oct 24 are being uploded as I’m writing this post and will be available very shortly. The points are being updated all the time and you’ll notice that it’s raising all the time until we’ll be back to an everyday points update.

Tiles: Process is running. The map is now updated as to map edits from Oct 19. The map will be updated until today’s edits (Oct 31), hopefully before the Weekend.

Merger: Procecss is running. Last driving session that was merged is from Oct 16. Your driving sessions will gradually appear in your dashboards. Please note that they will not be uploded chronologically, which means that you might see newer sessions before older ones. We still don’t have an ETA when all the sessions will be merged.

INTERNATIONAL

Points: Process is running. The points are updated currently until Oct 27. The points are being updated all the time and you’ll notice that it’s raising all the time until we’ll be back to an everyday points update.

Tiles: Process is running. The map is now updated as to map edits from Oct 11. We still don’t have an ETA when all the tiles will be built according to your today’s map updates.

Merger: Procecss is running. Last driving session that was merged is from Oct 26. Your driving sessions will gradually appear in your dashboards. Please note that they will not be uploded chronologically, which means that you might see newer sessions before older ones. We still don’t have an ETA when all the sessions will be merged.

No newly recorded roads showing up on the map for weeks – the roads recorded during multiple driving sessions over the last 3-4 weeks still not showing on the LiveMap nor the client. Is this still related to the backlog after Amazon outage, or the stuck ‘route processing’ reported recently?
