Wow...Houston?!?

I was looking around the map for something in particular, and panned all the way over to Houston to find this :o :

I’m still waiting to hear a response from my AM application, but it seems I’ve already found a few more locations I would like to expand it out to in order to straighten more stuff out, since San Antonio and Austin seem to be pretty well managed for now.

Looking at that I see there are no open URs which is a good thing! I’ll bet 95% off the MPs are missing road or users not following suggested route.

And the other 5% are turns through restricted turns

There’s an CM in Houston who’s not as active in the area as he should be. :\ I’ve been editing the US Highways to the “US-xx” format in East Texas and have gone through Houston, but only edited a few of the UR/SRs. It’s going to be a big bite for whoever handles it. On that note, there are 2 or 3 active editors in the area that are working very hard to clean up the area. I’ve seen them actively posting unlock requests, so I know they’re out there.

I was going to ask about the highways - I just noticed 46 in Boerne is named “State Highway 46”, and I thought I saw a thread on here somewhere about changing them all to SH-xx but I haven’t gone back to find it.

2 things need to happen:

  1. Everyone needs to be on board
  2. Waze needs to approve it

I am new to waze and am working to level up and be allowed to edit more area. I have been trying to help as much as possible in the area I am able to edit. [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

This is nothing you should see it now. We can’t keek up.

I have avoided doing much in Houston since there seemed to be active editors. I will start paying more attention.

Yeah that’s actually a lot better. It’s been worse.

We will catch up one of these days. It is a bit better than it was a few weeks ago.

Wow! I know where to focus now

Houston is a big town with a lot of construction and a lot of people moving here from out of state that don’t know where they’re going. A lot of URs are being posted for things that could be submitted to Jolly Drivers.

We had a rave come through not too long ago but still need a lot of editors to keep plugging away at the URs. A big problem is that users will post vague reports, but never respond to requests for more information - making it look busier than it is.

I could say that once the construction calms down the reports will, too, but we all know how true that is.
