I have to start by excuse myself for my question, I may be missing something obvious on the waze pages but what is the proper way to log on to the forum? I figured out that the waze user and pwd was transferred to the forum, but only due to the fact that I am running a phpbb forum myself I was able to find the login page, manually enter the standard search path for it.

For most forums you can also stay logged in for a while, but even though the option seems available on the login page, it has no effect.

So where is the link to the login page?

Very top right corner of the screen. The login timeout and inability to remain logged in is a longtime bugbear! You get used to it after a while!

If that doesn’t work, as the forum software is a third party software. You can go to http://www.waze.com/forum/ucp.php and login there. I do this, and check the keep me logged in box.

I set myself a bookmark to the forum that includes the login page to minimize clicks and page loads:

Precisely what I use as well. There’s also the similar link which redirs directly to Cartouche, too.

Thanks friends, It seems that the answer wasn´t that simple after all.

Rallychris solution is the one I have been using until now, and it seems I have to stay with that.

Obsolete29 - the login in the very upper right corner does not work for me on the forum. It logs me on to waze, allows me access to the dashboard and live map/map update but it does not log me on to either the forum or the Wiki. Seems that a better account management would be on my wishlist.

Anyway - thanks for the response all of you.

Weird. Sometimes the cookie seems to expire and even tho I seem to be logged into the forum, I’m not. If I log out and back in while viewing the forum, it seems to work fine. YMMV

If I want to logon to the forum, I also click on a username in the online user list below the forum index page. :wink:

You can access the forum at both the http://world.waze.com/forum and http://www.waze.com/forum urls.

If you log in from the world url, your cookies will not work and they will not keep you logged into the forum. Logging in from the www url will keep you logged in correctly on all subsequent visits.

So yeh, if you want to make logging in easier, set your bookmark to http://www.waze.com/forum regardless of your country.

I’ve found that logging in to http://www.waze.com/forum/ucp.php and ticking the “ Log me on automatically each visit” option to be most effective. I almost never have to login to the forum now.
