The road I usually take to work has been under construction all summer. Waze still sends me that way every day, and I’ve tried to get through about 10 times over the summer and every time the ETA is about 15% - 25% off and Waze doesn’t seem to ever correct itself.
It would be great to be able to submit long term construction areas to Waze as an editor.
Either there are not enough Wazers crossing that same stretch of road to allow jam detection to work properly or there is not a faster route at the given time of day for Waze to offer a reroute. If the road is a little bit from your starting point, several miles before you get to this stretch of road, press the ‘Route’ options button, let it offer you other routes, clear out of that screen and then see if you’re offered a reroute. Sometimes, you need to ‘wake’ Waze up along your route for it to seek out alternatives.
