Hi…I’m local to that area and happy to help. This place has been on the map in Waze since May 2015. Waze is a commuter app and not intended for directions/navigation for off-road vehicles so there is no plan to add any trails here. There are apps specifically for this type of hobby already, including the ability to input restroom locations.
All of the map comments you added can be removed as well. Unfortunately, these are just map comments shown on the Waze Map Editor so these will never be seen in the app.

The map editor is used worldwide. There are different guidelines in different regions of the world. Off-road/Not-maintained segments are not used for routing in the app, which means there is zero value here for this particular area to use them.
Can you point me to other areas in Texas that have these trails added? If they were done, veteran editors haven’t come across them to remove them yet.
Waze is used to get a Wazer to their destination but it’s primarily a commuter app…not intended for directing people in ATVs and bicycles along trails. In some areas where trails are added along roadways (i.e. walking trails), it’s mainly for the visual component and driver orientation. There wouldn’t be any use for these off-road trails here to meet that standard.
We have established guidelines in this region and across the US for how to map – our Waze-o-pedia.
As stated, the app is not designed for off-road use. Since there is nothing in the app allowing you to choose off-road type vehicle, adding such roads could cause someone to be routed down the off-road trail in their Honda Civic. VERY BAD for the driver.
We add walking trails if they meet the criteria we have designated for use and are added using the correct segment type. Same reason as above, if done wrong, we will have cars routed down sidewalks. VERY BAD for people walking on the trail.
