Advice on addition of a parking lot road

I am new to map editing, and up until now most of my edits have been either corrections to the current map (house numbers, removing unnecessary nodes, updating point of interest data, etc). This would be my first real addition to the map and wanted to get some advice before requesting a road be unlocked so that it can be added.

I have read the best practices on the use of parking lot roads and think it is probably a good fit, but just in case here is the link to the parking lot.

I envision the new parking lot road running from the (level 3) highway just to the west of the parking lot, passing through the parking lot, and connecting to the road to the south. According to the GPS plots there appears to be a few wazers that have used this route in the past. I do not plan to add the parking lot as a point of interest.

Would you consider this an appropriate use of a parking lot road?

The parking lot road (PLR) you linked to appears to be appropriate to me. The road through the CVS lot was added in 2012. Were you going to add another road?

Well this is embarrassing. I thought I copied a new permalink for the new location, but accidentally reused the one from earlier.

So yes, I wanted to add another road. Its a couple of segments north of the one that you unlocked for me earlier.

It would connect Horizons South Parkway to John Deere Parkway.

I think that would be fine. Go ahead and map it and if it needs to be changed I’ll let you know.
