Parking lot roads - many many unlocks or deletes

Hello all,

Someone recently went through the area around where I live and added a bunch of parking lot roads. They apparently didn’t have a high enough editor level to connect these to all the real roads in the area, however, resulting in many disconnected road fragments. These make Waze act very poorly in my neighborhood - I can’t even route from my house any more, since Waze snaps my current location to one of these parking lot roads.

I believe that most or all of these parking lots do not satisfy the Ohio mapping conventions. However, I didn’t want some of my first map edits to be a ton of road deletions. Sounds like a recipe for being smacked for vandalism. I’d be happy to fix these intersections if I could, but there are a ton of them - dozens - and making that many unlock requests in the dedicated forum didn’t seem reasonable. I’ll likely be finding these for a while.

First: thank you very much for being thoughtful about how to approach the issue!

Second: I think that the Google Hangouts the team runs would probably be one good way to handle the issue. You could post them and we could respond to them in relative-realtime. Beyond this issue, the Hangouts are without a doubt the best way to contact the community.

What portion of Ohio do you live in? Your profile doesn’t have a city listed, so not sure what regional Hangout it’s best to direct you to (many, myself included, can’t/don’t pull up the editor at work).

Edit: another fine option would be a Private Message to all Ohio State Managers (ohiostmusicman, Helgramite, and myself) with a Permalink for all segments that need to be lowered.
