At what level is needed to add parking spots?

Hello all

I work at a community college in North Texas.

For some reason it won’t save my changes when I add parking lots. We have several lots and it appeared as if it was saved, but I soon realized that it never actually did.

At what level are we allowed to make these types of additions? It seems as if it is close to impossible to earn trust and level up on WME.

Hi – can you be more exact on the location so we can take a look? It may be that the changes are saving but being a new level 1 editor, they require moderation. We would be happy to take a look.

There are two addresses.

  2. Coordinates for multilevel parking garage: 33.213282, -97.129378 (NCTC FSB Exchange campus Denton, TX)

Hi – Yes, these were pending moderation. I’ve approved them and corrected the details to match our editing guidelines. These lots are considered ‘private’ since they belong to the college so they will not show up in a ‘Parking’ search unless you search for these lots specifically by name.

If these lots have specific restrictions, such as ‘Student Parking Only’ or ‘Faculty Parking Only’, please let me know so I can update the details.

I will make sure that I read the editing guidelines more closely next time and will be adding more soon. I’ll ask for moderation approval until I am deemed trustworthy enough to do so on my own.

Another question. Since Waze is owned by Google, does our Google Maps Guide Rank not affect our trustworthiness for Waze? I signed up with my Google Account and my rank through is 5 I believe.

Hi there! Unfortunately, any ranks or levels you have on Google Maps do not translate over to Waze. You’ll find Waze map editing to be a bit more robust than what Google allows users to do. The best method to get real-time editing support is through our Discord channel, linked above.
