Broke a road - I can't name it

I can’t name the road Homestead Ave that runs all the way through the centre between both sides of RM Williams Drv. Everytime I name it I can’t save. Did I break something? Can someone give me a pointer as to what appears to be wrong?

Hi Brett,

I have named one half of Homestead Ave, can you give the other half a go and see what happens?

I noticed some intersections with turns not enabled. Can you press the shortcut keys (shift+z) in the editor and have a look over these.

I would say yes, shows as a roundabout on WhereIs, Maps, Google, etc

drawn in now. what seems to be the problem with RM williams rd. i changed all the turns but then realised that there is a street that is divided by islands

Apart from the new roads you just added with turn restrictions not set yet :D, just a couple on:

Martindale Pl
roundabout entry of Village Pl
and the intersection of Pioneer Ave & RM Williams Drv.

Roads with islands can cause all sorts of fun.

Shouldn’t RM Williams Drv be changed to RM Williams Dr?

im not sure what restrictions there are? time based or normal. it would be hard going around every intersection checking street view lol for turn restrictions. unless u mean one street that i havent set as the missus wanted to use facebook and was rushing me . u mean restrictions as in time based or normaal turns.
hrm… homestead ave has gone back to a red arrow after i set it as green wtf

edit. disconnected the street between martindale st and homestead… from the homestead end and then reconnected it and it seems ok now

glomp, thanks for pointing out me being thick and using Drv instead of Dr for drive. I have checked all three of the intersections you mentioned as well and from what I can see I think they are right now.

As for the question from nibby about the roundabout, not sure which 4 your asking about, but they are all there. I didn’t draw the centre part in as it is a retirement village and a gated community.

Appreciate the input Andy, I hadn’t fully finished in the area as I broke the road to start with :frowning: I appreciate all the help you have given!

No problem about the street naming, just helps in consistency and TTS pronunciation. I keep the abbreviation wiki open most times I’m editing in new areas. Have a look at this topic about Road Naming nibby34 has posted. :wink:

Got to keep her happy ;). The restrictions would just be the normal turn restrictions. They are on the new roads you added in the retirement village. You won’t be able to miss them, just look for those right red roads. :smiley:
