Calling all SE England Area Managers

Hi guys,

Can I just get a list of who is an active Area Manager in the Southeast of England please? I cover all of it and have done for a few months, and there are 159 PAGES of Update Requests some of which haven’t been touched for over a year!

Currently Reading and the surrounding areas are the worst affected by the base map import, and it seems that many 0 level editors have tried to have a pop at editing and are failing miserably.
Once again, as we always say, please read the UK Wiki conventions BEFOREdiving in head first (the water is quite shallow  ).

And as always, if there are any specific issues map/community wise or in general, don’t hesitate to PM me or post on this forum and one of us will take a look and help out (we are a community after all!)
Note: PM option for SE England only unless necessary, also I’m on Twitter: xteejyx if you need to direct message me a bit quicker (phone is connected all the time).

Thanks peeps! :sunglasses:

And I’ll just leave this here too…

Hi,

I’m one of those SE AMs, I guess. As well as the Isle of Wight, I’ve also got some real estate covering Southampton and Winchester. I’ve stayed on top of of the requests for that area that I can act on.

Kieron

Brilliant! Thanks Keiron. Have you added yourself to the Google Docs thing? (I can’t be arsed to check lol)
Anyone else in the SE?

Hiya, covering south London up to the M25. South West London not too bad on major routes. I am working on South East London at least a day a week but quite hideous out there. Also central London needs work. I also cover the Uckfield area in East Sussex as I grew up there.

I’m here, covering Kent.

Best, Jules

I’m also around, looking after South-East Essex

Hi,

I’m an AM for a small area around Horsham but I’ve been doing a bit of editing further afield, Worthing, Gatwick, Redhill.

Ian

I pick up user requests around Gatwick, does your AM area cover it? If not, do you want it?

David (dknight) was asking if i had become an AM yet, i haven’t applied as yet; i was going to wait for several more weeks at least whilst i’m still learning the ropes - but at which time i would be very willing to sign up to help cover SE London / NW Kent areas and wider if more overlap was needed.

Cheers,
David

Yes!

Brilliant! There is currently julesthebit and me covering Bexley area (not necessarily editing there specifically though). May be others I’m not sure, but more eyes, hands and brains is always better!!
Glad to see you’re learning first though, very promising sign

It’s part of my area but I’m trying to rationalise the whole thing as it’s too big to do it properly.

I’ll have almost all of Bexley done within the next couple of days (with the caveat as long as the system stops undoing the changes i have done) bar locked roads - unless you can unlock bronze age way / Queens Street / Northend Road / Thames Road. And speed cameras - i can do most of them if someone can confirm we are logging the traps in kmh - there is a mixture of mph and kmh around bexley.
I am about 50% through SE2 (Abbey Wood) - quite a small postal area.
I have closed several user requests, but i’m guessing the huge list dknight refers to goes straight to AMs ?

I want to move on to SE18 next (Plumstead, Woolwich & Shooters Hill) - very easy to do if i just use ‘SE18, London’ but if i were to do each road as Plumstead / woolwich individually then i cannot find a resource to help me with the actual borders of each town. Any thoughts or resources anyone ?

Then i’m waiting for the system to acknowledge where i have driven to open up more roads for editing.
cheers,
DaveHemm

Not my huge list! But yes URs go directly to AMs

I’m talking rubbish just ignore me.

OK, brain engaged and on bigger computer this time. It was xteejx who was talking about the big list of URs. Anyone can see them. I’ve kept the south london list down to 5 and all are awaiting responses from the users. But I can’t really do the proactive work that SE London deserves. Nor can I just go checking out on the ground so easily.

now 6

Anyone can turn on the UR layer and randomly find them on the map, but you’ll ONLY get a list of them if they fall into your AM area.
