NSW is looking to introduce camera technology capable of detecting drivers using mobile phones while driving. The bill has already been introduced into parliament in March.
Assuming they get out of the testing phase and actually introduced onto the roads, they’d be “dummy cameras” until Waze’s app supports these camera types. This is just my opinion, but we shouldn’t really have to warn people not to touch their phone while driving. But we seem to do the same thing with speed cameras. Who knows, maybe HQ will support it.
