when I go to set “home” I enter the address and it says to select the correct result. I see no way on the screen to do so.
Are any addresses coming up at all?
Make sure you have your location enabled in settings for your phone (for satellite)
My wife got a new iPhone and was trying to set her home and work, couldn’t get anything to come up. I went into the iPhone settings, and location setting for Waze was off. Once it was on, everything came up.
You can also enter all favorites, including home and work by tap-hold on the map and set the favorite name to “Home” or “Work” as appropriate.
locations are set, so that’s not the problem. holding the map works, but it gives a general “from to” address, but doesn’t seem to save and show up in the waze home or favorites addresses
What phone and operating system you using?

I am having the exact same problem with my LG android phone. I select “Navigate”. Then I touch “Home”. Then I type in the address. The screen says to 'select the correct result", but there is no way to do that. Frustrating.
What happens if you delete the Home favorite from the favorites list, then go back to the map and tap-hold the home location on the map and add it as a favorite? Are you able to navigate to it after that?
It works if you name it ‘Home’ or ‘Work’, literally.
But how this works if you use another language than English?
I don’t see this as a logical solution. Altough it works.
It would be more logical (from my point of view) to an option to pinpoint the map as an alternative to enter the address. Or to have the option ‘Add as Home’ and ‘Add as Work’ in the additional options the tap-holding the map.
This is frustrating, no clear step by step method explained.
Where is “ADD”
Sounds like what you really need is a read through the User Manual.
I havr a android lg spirit and i cant ass my house and besides my sxhool i cant add anything alse im very irritated i try to add anything and notging pops up all i ever see is “no resualt” amd i cant add anything …im stuck help me
Have you tried adding your home / work using the touch and hold method mentioned earlier in this thread?
You can also use different providers when you have done the search by selecting a different one at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes other providers will have results that are not displayed in the Waze tab.

If you cannot find anything via the search, just use the map to set the favorites when you start up Waze at home, school, work or wherever.
You can tap and hold on a street, and it will turn yellow and a little box will pop up.
Tap on the ‘i’ symbol on the right and you will then be able to save it as a favorite.

Wow… you aren’t understanding the problem. After typing in your Home or Work address, there is no way to save it! No enter, no save, no OK, no Next, nothing! And moving on loses the typing you just did again for the 4th time! And to suggest tapping on a map with a finger, hoping to get within 500 feet of our chosen location, seems oh, I don’t know… CRAZY!
UPDATE: Thank DOG for Google… 1. Enter your address 2. Hit the Search Button 3. Tap on the correct address that appears in the search result, DONE!
Always seemed pretty intuitive to add a search result as a favorite. Never had to use google…
It helped to delete outdated favourites and recent locations if there are too many of them, so the button: “Set … and go” worked as expected. Otherwise it was just appearing to react to the click, but nothing else happened. Could only delete the entry to get out of the window. Unfortunately there is no error message or a suggestion to free some room in the memory.
