There are certain segments that have a junction node inside a JB that I’ve noticed I don’t have “permission” to cut, even though an R5 editor should have this ability. I’ve recently also noticed it only applies to certain segments within that JB. The example JB that I’ve been able to find this on is found here:
Until I noticed this behavior this morning, I thought I just couldn’t cut any segments that had nodes inside a JB at all. Only this morning did I learn that I can cut some segments, but not other ones.

Behavior occurs in both beta and regular WME, scriptless and with scripts. Google Chrome browser.

Updated: Rayan, may I ask you to record the video with this error? I wonder and want to understand how do you split the segment that the center of the intersection is highlighted on your side?
Edited: Ryan, I have checked the video and links. Could you please send the link to the junction box where you can’t split the segment? When I open attached links, I see the different one then in the video.
I will get the link when I can (mobile right now). However, this problem is not limited to one junction box. It’s EVERY junction box. Because of this, I don’t think it’s relevant to focus on this one junction box in the screen grab/video.
Sure Ryan, thanks in advance. I managed to recreate the problem on another junction box as well. Just it would be great to have the same link as in the video to avoid inconsistency. The team will want to check properties of the segment from the video or have other questions.
After discussing with some other editors that are having the same issue, it appears that this may be rank related. It seems that rank 6+ have no issues cutting segments, while rank 4 and 5 don’t seem to be getting the error.
Is this supposed to be locked to rank 6?
No it is not supposed to be locked to rank 6, and sometimes also R6 are having issues. Until the time I open the thread mention above, it was working fine
I cannot modify those segments - same error as my original post - I don’t have permission. And in fact, I’ve noticed in a different area, I can’t even add a simple junction box now.
I get the error “Saving Error. Oops! It looks like someone else changed one or more map objects you edited before you savedSuggestion: Reload the map to start over. Make these changes again, if necessary.”
No scripts, no extensions.
Whatever they did to try to “fix” this, they actually made it worse as I can’t add JB’s at all now.
