This is a silly question as I am probably missing something easy. I just achieved L2 editor and I want to use my newly-selected Robot Mood as my avatar beneath my name on the forums. I have my signature changed, but am I missing an easy way to switch up the avatar, or are they moderator controlled?!?!
I was referring to the picture under your name here in the forums. I wanted to set an image (I see you have the âwaze global champsâ badge.)
That is what wanted to know if I could change, or if they were moderator controlled and appeared once you earned them.
You seem to be only in the registered user group. This group has no avatar set.
Until you belong to another group that has one you wonât be able to display anything.
Once you belong to 1 or more groups, you can choose which badge you want to display be going here : https://www.waze.com/forum/ucp.php?i=167 and scrolling all the way down the page and click the âChange default groupâ button. Your default groupâs badge will be the one that is displayed.
It is not possible for me on the Usergroup selection page to choose L2 group as the selection circle is inactive next to it. On my screenshot it is visible that only âRouting Problem testâ group has an active circle, but all others below are inactive. So I cannot choose and go to the bottom of the page and click âJoin selectedâ for L2 group.
It is also a bit misleading that description says âThis is a closed group, new members can only join upon invitation of a group leader.â as this is the only Rank group that does not have a Group Leader section in it, but only Group Members, so I wrote to the chronologically first admin-like user long ago if they can invite me to this group, but received no response so far. I checked also on the wiki page but it is sill not clear there. For Rank groups it says âMembership is open, but is based on your editing rank.â OK, clear, but is there any standard process for joining or requesting invitation after I reached the corresponding rank?
Maybe I just fully misunderstood something, so thanks for clarifying/inviting.
I agree 100% but forum admins seem to think this is normal. Like you, I fail to see any logic behind that reasoning so far.
The only valid reason I was told once is that it is an automatic group, but this thread shows that it obviously is not, and when I asked Waze they confirmed that it is indeed not automatic.
Iâve messaged someone asking them to add you in the meantime.
Yes, that was my thought also, if it was automatic, it would work, but since it is not, the basic logic is not correct with those misleading descriptions next to the group and on wiki page alsoâŚ
