On Roadworks.org it says this road is closed between 1st - 4th June. But I saw a sign today when driving down Mercury Gardens it says the road will be closed on 3rd and 4th June between 19:30 to 6:30 am.
So could somebody please put this closure in? ![]()

Done. Closed 03/06 19:30 to 04/06 06:30.
Or does it also need 04/06 19:30 to 05/06 06:30?
John - itâs not entirely done, because Iâm trying to do it as well and Iâve just wiped out one of yours!
Please turn on live users layer and make yourself visible when youâre doing requests. I keep stepping on your toes!
Also, thereâs no point putting a topic link in the description - that wonât mean anything to the Waze users seeing it. Put a short reason that will make sense to them - resurfacing, roadworks, bridge replacement etc.
I did! I could see you. I could see me. You arrived after Iâd done the southbound, so I expected you to see me and leave me to it!
Fair point. I was forgetting Wazers see it in the app, not just editors in WME.
I am guessing this is towards me. I thought we had to make the titles of our request different each time so I always copy the name of the road that is on the Segment I would like unlocking or want closing.
I would ask to do Closures myself as an AM but I have reasons for not requesting the ability. one of which is I have only been an AM for about 3 months so feel I need more experience. ![]()
John - itâs my fault. I followed the permalink at the top of the thread and it included a âlayersâ value that turned off the live users layer.
Hublander: the thing about the topic description wasnât aimed at you. I was referring to the description box we fill in when creating a closure. This description is then visible in the app, so users have some idea why the closure is there. Thereâs not much room available for the text and, if it contained a link, it wouldnât be openable from within the app. Topic titles for unlock requests do not have to be unique.
As for the layers thing: when you manually paste a permalink into a post, it looks like this âwww.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lon=0.18680&lat=51.57916&layers=485&zoom=5â. That âlayersâ bit is a number that controls what layers are on or off. Itâs not essential, but itâs a nice touch if you remove that section from a manually-pasted permalink, so that your link doesnât reset the layers of the editor responding to your request.
Alternatively, if you use WME Toolbox, this adds some buttons next to the permalink icon in the bottom RH corner. Two of these will automatically start a new forum topic in the Editor Requests forum for either a fix or an unlock, with the title created and text already filled in containing your editor level and a permalink with the layers parameter removed. ![]()
I am guessing that it is 2 nights from the way the sign is posted. The fact that Main Road about half a mile away will be closed for the same thing on the 5th I am guessing the same work force will be working on both sites.
Also when I work on London Underground sites we date the work by the night we start so a job like this Starting at 19:30 to 6:30am we always quote the date by the start time. So if they follow these rules this should be happening over 2 nights.
Sorry about the Permlink Iain
When I send in my requests I create them then add the permlink by clicking the chain in the bottom right corner. I donât edit it at all. :?:  So donât know what happened.
As for using scripts I have stopped using them at the moment since my Firefox Browser was running very slow. So moving over the map took a long time. Fixed that problem by using Firefox fixer but that seems to disable WME toobox that I was using.
I am thinking of Installing Chrome so to make Waze editing better.
