[Closures] MBNA Chester Marathon [6-Oct-2019]

The MBNA Chester Marathon celebrates its 10th anniversay on Sunday 6 October 2019, and requires a number of road closures – probably just over 26 miles of them :wink:

At the same time there’s also a shorter “metric” marathon (a nice concept they’ve run for a few years now: 26.2 kilometres not miles, ie the length of a half-marathon plus a 5k) but as this is there-and-back on the later part of the main marathon route, it requires no more closures.

The closures comprise 6/7 large segments, the map pack shows these clearly and the TRO should document them exactly.

I know that entering these is time consuming and something only a select few can do, I’ve created the MTE but that’s as far as I can go. Although advance closure signs are up along the route which are great for locals who pay attention, it’s the diligent work of editors entering closures into Waze and the notification of a Mega Traffic Event which will help anyone coming into the city that day.
