Correct Address - Wrong pick-up point/location

Hi all,

My apartment complex address correlates to a main road (Washington Blvd). If the actual location of the address was used it would block traffic, cause accidents, etc. Waze has done a good job of changing where the address shows up on the Waze app, but it now takes you to the street behind the apartment complex where there is no entrance. I update the Waze map to include the parking lot streets, turns, etc. The last step I was trying to adjust was to assign the location of of 1340 Washington Blvd. to be at the entrance of the building in the parking lot. This is where all residents and delivery people park and enter the building. I attached a file of a picture. There is a green circle in the place where the 1340 Washington Blvd address would be most appropriate. Is there a way we can update the location?

The biggest pain is when Uber drivers end up driving and circles and getting frustrated.

Starting off with the most obvious - see Red Road in the Waze wiki. In this case, select the “None” checkbox for the street name & set the city to “Stamford”.

Second, the parking lot you added isn’t connected to North Street (you’ll need an unlock or for a higher ranking editor to do it for you).

Now, I’m not sure that adding the parking lot is the best option here - we typically don’t map lots like this, but if they are needed we certainly don’t map every row in a parking lot. See the Waze Wiki for more info.

I think the best resolution is to remove the lot entirely and add a residential point place (RPP) where the driveway hits North Street. To do this, add a point place (use the category “other”, it won’t matter in the long run). Do not give it a name (this option will disappear in a later step), add the address & convert it to residential. That will bring people who search for the address to the driveway.
