Directed through a restricted zone

I used Waze on 14/05/24 to get myself from home to Barking rail/tube station. As shown in the screenshots, there is my navigation history and the route (which I looked up again today), which allows me to drive around and right in front of the tube station in question along Station Parade. I received a PCN today for driving along this Station Parade, for “Failing to comply with a prohibition on certain types of vehicle”. I wasn’t confident driving in this area I had never been to, so I used and followed waze (being confused by the signs as I got closer) but ultimately it was too late to turn around. Just wanted to inform you so this doesn’t happen to anyone else, and they get charged £65 too. It appears normal motor vehicles are prohibited along this road, only buses taxis etc.

That road is already restricted in the app to buses and taxis. Have you checked that you didn’t have your vehicle type set to taxi? If it was, it’s a valid route.

Your attachments are missing from the post. It would have been better to post a user report from the app at the time you realised there was an issue as we get information about your vehicle type and route, although the destination is withheld for privacy reasons.
