I had this problem on February 10th at 1329 in Slough. I wasnt familiar with the roads and trusted Waze. It took me down part of the High Street and I got a ticket. What use is Waze ? Can I be reimbursed
I may not have the full answer but wanted to share my point. Could you provide a permalink etc via Waze Map Editor to where the issue occurred so a local etc can check if the restrictions are correctly applied?
But, from my knowledge. I don’t think you can be reimbursed for this, as a driver you will hold responsible for any actions committed on the road, and regarding bus lanes etc. There would have been signage indicating either no entry or time restrictions. This allows the driver of the motor vehicle to change thier decision on whether to proceed or not.
I welcome any feedback and responses to my Point of View for guidance and increased knowledge ![]()
A section of Slough High St has a restriction set for Taxi, Motorcycle & Public Transport only.
If you have the Vehicle Setting in the app set to Taxi or Motorcycle Waze will consider the High St as a valid route.
Waze terms and conditions of use state it is the drivers responsibility to observe all local traffic regulations and restrictions.
