Community achievements
Map Raids: Major success!
Huge congrats to the Portuguese Community for adding school zones across the country in a media-covered Map Raid! Meanwhile, 99 editors in the Dominican Republic added a massive 14K segments and 47K places in a local Map Raid. Your dedication makes Waze better for everyone!
Flooding in Mexico
Following severe flooding and landslides, the Mexican Community quickly added hundreds of road closures, six shelters, and donation centers to the map. Thank you for looking out for the safety and well-being of your fellow drivers and neighbors. Need to report a crisis? Email us 24/7: waze-crisis@google.com
Waze Beacons in Chile
Thanks to the Chilean Community’s meticulous mapping of complex city tunnels, we successfully started the installation of Waze Beacons across a local highway. Their accuracy ensured perfect beacon placement, and they even helped with the late-night installation. Amazing technical dedication!
Autobahn GmbH Südwest hosts German editors
The German community was hosted by local Waze Partner Autobahn GmbH Südwest for a control center tour and an inside look at their traffic management. This was a great opportunity for the partner to learn about the initiatives by the community. Thanks ChristophGP14 for coordinating the event!
