Standard bug Steps to reproduce this issue:
When editing places I noticed that most of the places I edited were missing external providers completely and were last edited by the matching feed this week. Is this intended and related to Duplicate External Providers from matching_feed - #45 by JasonN899 or an unintentional effect?
Thank you for flagging this issue. I’m currently checking this behavior with the team and I’ve raised an internal ticket for further investigation. I’ll keep you posted on the progress.

Standard bug Steps to reproduce this issue:
I noticed that on the app some of the places I go to dont have the data being pulled from GM. When I did some investigation, it turns out that they have been removed.
It seems like the matchingfeed bot has removed them on Feb 16th. This has occurred in a lot of places after randomly checking on WME.
We’d just like to let you know that this issue is currently being looked into with high priority.
We apologize for the inconvenience this is causing on your end and appreciate your patience while this is being addressed. We’ll keep you posted once we have more news.

Thank you so much for your patience.
There is no longer any trace of the Matching feed’s passage.
The problem is that we have no list of all POI to check for corrections !
To be able to correct this problem, it would be helpful to provide us with a list, by city, of the Matching feed changes from February 23rd.
I was looking at some rural towns and noticed that “matching feed” has wiped the Google Maps connections from almost every single place on the map. This feels like vandalism on a massive scale and is an enormous waste of editors’ time to rectify.
Your frustration is 100 percent understood. The team is aware of the impact and actively working to address this problem. We’re monitoring the internal ticket and checking with the team about further steps. We’ll make sure to keep you posted.
Thank you so much for your patience!
Hi Olesya, are you able to confirm if the matcher has been turned off in the meantime? Also if you know if the changes will be able to be rolled back? The external providers have been stripped off hundreds/thousands of places and it will be very difficult to fix manually.
Not every place has them removed, but I’d say the vast majority of those I’ve been spot checking. As others have mentioned it does appear to be related to the “matching feed 1” updating the places within the last week.
We are happy to inform you that the issue has been fixed globally, restoring all links for venues across the United States and some ROW countries. These are already live in Autocomplete search in the US but may take a little longer to appear in ROW.
Amazing! Thank you so much for your verification @im_0mni8. I will go ahead and mark this issue as fixed. Should there still be any concerns, please let me know.
