I was just wondering how some of the wazers have the extra badge on the waze character face.
There is the rank badge, which is controlled by points compared to other users in your “area” (state, country, depending on where you are).
There is the green chat bubble which indicates they have ping me turned on.
And then there is the main group icon. The icon is defined by the group admin.
