Was using Waze to pick up a friend, but theres a sign warning drivers to not proceed into Oxford Road when turning left from Charles Street. According to Google Maps, the sign shows operation hours from 6am-9pm, but I was unaware of this as I was picking up a friend since I had to turn left then left again to Brancaster Road (which is one way only from Oxford street). Please can Waze map editors update this so that the app does not direct to go around there during operation hours? Thanks.
Moved to correct sub-forum for better assistance from the local editor community.
Waze already has the correct restrictions on Oxford Road, and has had them for several years.
The road is open for Taxis during those hours, so it may be worth checking if your vehicle type is set incorrectly to Taxi.
Ok thanks for the insight. Is there any chance a warning could be made prior that this street is specific to certain vehicles? Like a warning to advise that this road will find the driver during operation hours?
Regards,
Waze doesn’t have that type of function. It will automatically avoid it when navigating (and has the correct vehicle type selected). If in roaming mode, Waze wouldn’t know which direction you’re going, so it wouldn’t be able to give a warning.
You can suggest a new feature on the Waze UserVoice page if you so wish:
